Sunday Fun
Today is the first day of Terry's vacation and he had a great idea of how to spend the day. After breakfast we packed a lunch and headed to the city lake for fishing and fun. We all had a great time and on several occasions I remarked that Terry's idea was genius. I didn't fish, but basked in the sun like a cat ready a really fluffy book...my master's class just ended and the next ones start on Monday.
The kids had fun fishing and playing on a huge tree stump in the water about 6 feet from the shore. They used a thin wooden plank that someone had nicely left to walk over to the stump. Again, no camera for the trip, so all I have are grainy cell phone photos to document our great day.
AND Terry caught the most fish! Delaney caught the smallest.
Second Victory
Delaney's volleyball team had their second victory this weekend. They won all three matches! She did a great job and her serves are improving. The coach even remarked to her that she was really getting into the game and going after the ball. The coach also told me that she loves having Delaney because she is always ready to play ball and doesn't horse around. We have found a sport for Delaney!
Dillon's Trackmaker
Friday, Dillon received a Trackmaker award from the school board. The Trackmaker award is the highest award given to a student or teacher from the school board. Dillon received his for scoring advanced on the state math standardized test. He graciously allowed me to take a picture using my cell phone, because once again, mine was left at home. Wish the quality of the pic was better.

October Fun
Today was the first day in a month that we were at home all day doing family stuff around the house. Most of the stuff was not fun, like laundry, mowing, and homework. This evening Dono and Dill started a fire for us. Dono is the one with the patience and worked very diligently to get the fire started and keep it going. Terry also helped by gathering wood for the fire. It was a great evening!
